Plumbing:
Clarify upstream manhole elevation. Appears a backwater valve shall be required.
-According to section 715 of the IPC, since the upstream manhole cover is 2.4’
higher than the finished floor, all waste fixtures will be routed through a
backwater valve. This is shown on the included plan.
Clarify food preparation area by showing compliance with section 1003 IPC.
-The area in question on the plans will be used as a break room and not for the
mass production of food. The room name has been changed on the plans to
reflect this change.
Clarify floor drains allowed to be used in this area due to possible chemical drainage.
Reference section 803 IPC.
-The usage of fertilizers and/or pesticides in this area will be consistent with the
existing exterior gardens that use organic processes deemed safe for runoff into
the river. These drains will be moved to the storm drainage system to better
reflect the outdoor usage of the space. This change is shown on the included
plan.
