Electrical feeder/service evaluate for Chiller replacement

Evaluate the existing electrical service at the at the Galatyn Lodge

The existing chiller was fed from a 120/208 volt Siemens Electric 800amp 3-phase 4 wire
service panel via a 200amp, 3 pole fused (FRN-R-200 bussman fuses) sub-switch housed within.
Feeding the existing chiller equipment, via 3# 3/0 awg wire (see photos 1,2,3 and 4). All the
equipment is in good condition and working and shall be reused.
The new chiller has a electrical service requirement of 120/208 volt 3-phase with a min circuit
ampacity of 127.4 and a recommended over current device of 150 amp.s (see cut-sheet attached)

Connect to existing 200amp, 3 pole fused (w/FRN-R-200 bussman fuses) sub-switch that fed the
existing chiller equipment, via the existing 3# 3/0 awg wire. Located in 120/208 volt Siemens the
800amp 3-phase 4 wire service panel.
Add a new 200 amp 3-phase fusible Disconnect switch (fused @150 amp w/FRN-R-150
bussman fuses) at the new chiller location. Located per the NEC
It is recommended a new 3 phase 1/0 awg copper feeder be used from said chiller disconnect to
the new chiller.(the small has a high Resistance [Ohm/m] Copper (20 °C,68 °F) 0.000323 to min
the SYMMETRICAL RMS AMPERES)
Note:
The lugs and electrical equipment rating with-in the new chiller are unknown.
The above will provide a SYMMETRICAL RMS AMPERES of less than 10,000 AIC at
the chiller equipment lugs.
The RMS AMPs for the above are calculated using an infinite buss up/over/down
method with bussman charts and standards wire size resistance [Ohm/m] Copper (20
°C,68 °F).
The engineer has NOT examined the MDP or any other up/down stream electrical
devices for soundness or load.
