RE: Northwoods building F unit 3
Mr. Vaughan,
This letter is intended to describe the full scope of work for changes to the fire sprinkler system that will
be performed by Western States Fire Protection in unit F3 at The Northwood's.
Required modifications to the fire sprinkler system are as follows.
Second floor modifications.
: Replace existing head in laundry room with a 175 degree head.
: Relocate head in hallway to laundry/bathroom for required coverage.
: Eliminate head in down sized bathroom under 55 sq. ft. due to new wall configurations.
: Relocate one head for new enclosure.
Third floor modifications.
: Add one head in new vaulted ceiling.
All work performed will comply with NFPA13R and local standards.
This is a copper antifreeze system on the second, third floor. All added materials will be compatible
will be compatible to the existing copper tube antifreeze system.
It is our understanding that this letter will be sufficient to obtain a permit to proceed with the work
described above. No other work will be done without authorization from VFES. If further information is
required to issue a permit please contact our office in Glenwood Springs at 970-618-3294.
