RE: Four Seasons unit 8201 remodel

This letter is intended to describe the full scope of work for changes to the fire sprinkler system that will
be performed by Western States Fire Protection in unit 8201 at the Four Seasons.
Required modifications to the fire sprinkler system are as follows.
: Raise 3" main, relocate 4 pendants and change 4 sidewall heads to pendant in living room for new
ceiling elevations.
: Relocate 1.5" copper line in kitchen for new hood duct.
: Relocate sidewall heads in three bedrooms to opposite wall due to new light cove assemblies
to be installed on wall where existing sidewall heads are located.
: Relocate 6 heads in sitting/media room for new ceiling configurations.
: Adjust 3 heads in hall to bedrooms to match new ceiling elevations.
: Adjust 1 head in master bathroom to match new ceiling elevation.
All work performed will comply with NFPA13 and local standards.
This is a steel/copper wet system. A 3" steel pipe main will be capped off on the interior side
of unit 8201 to prevent any possible head or pipe damage during demo and construction.
Heat detectors are installed and operational in all areas of remodel.
It is our understanding that this letter will be sufficient to obtain a permit to proceed with the work
described above. No other work will be done without authorization from VFES. If further information is
required to issue a permit please contact our office in Glenwood Springs at 970-618-3294.
