Commercial & Residential Fire Alarm shop drawings are required at the time of application submittal
and must include the following information:
1. A Colorado Registered Engineer's stamp or N.l.C.E.T level Ill (min) stamp
2. Equipment cut sheets of materials
3. Hydraulic calculations
4. A State of Colorado contractor registration number
5. Plans must be submitted by a Registered Fire Protection Contractor

RE: Montaneros unit 414 remodel
Mr. Vaughan,
This letter is intended to describe the full scope of work for changes to the fire sprinkler system that will
be performed by Western States Fire Protection in unit 414 at the Montaneros.
Required modifications to the fire sprinkler system are as follows.
: Lower level. Change five sidewall heads to pendants.
: Upper level. Change four sidewall heads to pendants.
All existing soffits will be removed. All sprinkler heads will be placed in new ceilings for required
coverage in unit.
All work performed will comply with NFPA 13 and local standards.
This is a copper wet system on the sixth floor. All added materials will be compatible to the existing
system.
It is our understanding that this letter will be sufficient to obtain a permit to proceed with the work
described above. No other work will be done without authorization from VFES. If further information is
required to issue a permit please contact our office in Glenwood Springs at 970-618-3294.
