Project Description:
The removal of three engelmann spruce and one multi stem aspen. We may try
to save part of the multi stem aspen but my recommendation to the customer is
that it is already in poor health and should be removed because the other part of
the stem will die in the near future. The customer has been investing a lot of
money in care and landscape improvements. He is currently working with the
landscape company and adding a lot of lime to help neutralize the soil. With the
removal of the trees they won't be casting as many needles causing acidic soil,
it will improve sun infiltration and it will allow more moisture to stay in the ground.
His goal is to give his yard a more finished appearance by adding more flowers
to his entry monument to improve curb appeal as well as getting better flowers
and sod to grow in the backyard.

Conditions:
- Approval of this project shall lapse and become void one (1) year following the date of final approval, unless
a building permit is issued and construction is commenced and is diligently pursued toward completion.
- Design Review Board approval shall not become valid for 20 days following the date of approval, pursuant
to the Vail Town Code, Chapter 12-3-3 Appeals.
- No changes to these plans maybe made without the written consent of Town of Vail staff and/or the
appropriate review committee(s).
- This approval shall include approval to remove the identified multi-stem aspen.
- This approval may be for the removal of the evergreen adjacent to the north side of the house, if desired by
the applicant.
- If the applicant desires further consideration of the removal of the Engelmann Spruce in the front yard,
please re-apply with a proposed landscape plan for the effected area.
