RE: DoubleTree by Hilton Vail, CO – Conversion
Responses to Construction Change Directive #04 Review Comments
Dear Danielle
Thank you for your review of the Constructive Change Directive #04 submission for the
DoubleTree by Hilton Vail Hotel. We appreciate your detailed comments and input.
This letter is in response to your comments. Please let me know if there are questions or
concerns with our direction.
SHEET L-1
COMMENT:
1. Gas fire pits need more info – gas line drawings / clearances.
RESPONSE: The L1 sheet included in CCD04 was mistakenly included in the set. This
sheet was an older version and no changes have been made to the currently approved
Landscaping.
SHEET A-201
COMMENT:
2. Show exiting/egress from this area. Removing stair?
RESPONSE: This comment is referring to the exterior stair that provided access to the
roof top area above the first floor, and is called for removal in CCR04. This stair was
solely for the purpose of access to the roof area that houses mechanical equipment and
does not require an exit/egress stair per 2015 IBC, Section 1209.3 and 2015 IMC,
Section 306.5 whereas the roof in that area is at 14’ A.F.F., and access to the roof area
in question is primarily from the second floor office area.

as demonstrated on site.
