TIE NEW TOP PLATE SECTIONS TO OLD WITH SIMPSON STA2122 STRAPS AND 100X11/2" NAILING, TYP. 6. WALL SHEATHING SHALL BE 7/16" PLYWOOD OR OSB SHEATHING RATED 24/16EXPOSURE1 OR BITTER NAILED WITH lOd GUN NAILS (0.131"x3") AT 4" o.c. MIN AROUND ALL OPENINGS, AND AT PANEL EDGES. BLOCK ALL PANEL EDGES. 7. FOR ALL SOLID OR BUILT-UP COLUMNS BEARING THROUGH FLOOR JOIST SPACES, PROVIDE BLOCKING IN JOIST SPACE WITH CROSS SEctlONAL AREA TO MATCH COLUMN ABOVE. 8. AT REMEDIATION OF EXTERIOR RIM JOIST. CUT BACK AFFECTED AREA, PROVIDE SQUASH BLOCKS EA.SIDE OF WALL/COLUMN LOAD ABOVE, PER THESE NOTES, AND ADD ADDITIONAL STUD BELOW. MIN. 3" JOIST BEARING.
