RE: January 2018 Public Relations Report
MYPR kicked off 2018 with the annual New York media tour, where we met with nearly 30 journalists in two
and a half days. As part of that trip, MYPR also updated all media materials including the 2018 calendar of
events, what’s new tipsheet, destination fact sheet and approved media images.
The agency also worked on several other initiatives last month.
The new media center was launched to mirror the new look and feel of Vail.com.
MYPR was one of a few agencies invited to attend a media reception hosted by the CTO in
conjunction with the launch of the Outdoor Retailer + Snow Show 2018. More than 50 media from
throughout the United States attended the event. MYPR also submitted a “what’s new” press
release on Vail for the media kit that was provided to attendees.
The agency also developed a content calendar of press releases from January to September to
help guide our messaging.
MYPR also finalized plans for the Chicago media tour in February and started working on save the
date invitations as well as the actual invite.
The agency also is coordinating with the Vail Valley Foundation on incorporating an element of Vail
Dance Festival into the spring media mission to Mexico City.
