The proposed sign is designed t o improve the"out of sight, out o f mind"and"Vail's best kept secret"
reputation. In addition t othe signage, the Museum created a more visible presence in Vail Village by
moving ourmain entrance to align with the central staircase of the Vail Parking Structure, adding a
gabled roofabove the new electronic doors.
The Museum's transformation is nearly complete,thus finalizing the cohesive and modernized facelift of
the Vail Village Parking Structure. The vastly improved Museum will most certainly enhance the off-
mountain and/orindooramenities and experiences that both skiing and non-skiing guests are actively
seeking in the commercial core o f Vail Village. The new Museum will also provide a positive economic
impact on Vail,as ourvisitors tend tolingerand experience the entire village. The proposed new exterior
sign is the final step in the Museum'slong-awaited transformation.
