The review was based on the prior application reviewed March 26 as modified by Justin Nielsen of Skyline Mechanical Inc. in e-mails dated April 20: − Plan M-1 dated March 7, 2018 (attached) − Representations made by Justin Nielsen of Skyline Mechanical Inc. regarding structural engineering recommendation in e-mail April 20: “His [Structural engineer] reccomendation was the same as our plan & that is to simly enlarge a Existing pentration & not create a new one. this will be easy to do. since we are not bring drain through the slab now our required hole will be 1" round or less. we can simply chip the fill oaround the existing pentration for our lines & Re Groute when complete. With your approval we would like to move forward as proposed please advice.” [sic] On file with the Association is a signed Application for Unit Remodel and a Construction Agreement signed by Skyline Mechanical Inc. the Construction Agreement will be fully executed when the owners return to Colorado. A Certificate of Liability for Skyline Mechanical Inc. will also be required before construction may begin. The application is approved with the following conditions: − The specific location and orientation of the outside unit and location of penetrations of the exterior wall of the building are to be marked in place and reviewed by the Association before the slab is laid and the penetrations made. Penetrations must be behind and hidden by the outside unit. − Confirmation of the capability of the house electrical system to support the 208/223 Volt single phase specifications for the exterior unit. AEC can confirm. − Exterior compressor unit: mounting is to incorporate vibration dampening − Exterior compressor unit must be screened from view from the patio / pool area with slat fencing painted grey to match the wood trim of the building or other screening approved by the Association. − All plumbing and electrical conduit will be contained entirely within Unit 11 with the exception of the proposed “line hide pipe” to be located in the garage as shown on plan M-1. − The pre-stressed concrete floor plate may not be trenched. − Condensate from the interior unit will be drained to the sink drain as shown on plan M-1. − No interior units may interfere with the operation of the fire sprinkler system. − The owner is responsible for all upgrades to electrical service to support this installation. − The low voltage connection between the thermostat and the baseboard heating zone valves in the bedroom and living room is in a serial link to other units and must be preserved. − Copies of all permits and satisfaction of permits are to be provided to the Association. All approvals are subject to the terms of the Construction Agreement, Rules and Regulations, Architectural Change and Design Review of Unit Modifications, Common Element Modification Policy and Universal Policy on Unit Renovations, all of which can be found on the 9 Vail Road website. All logistics regarding parking, trash removal, construction materials delivery and building access must be coordinated with Tom Saalfeld before any work starts. Please make sure that all vehicles on site indicate “Unit 11” on their dash. This letter also documents to Town of Vail Community Development department the approval of this proposal by the 9 Vail Road Condominiums Board of Directors. Any further application for changes to the building permit will require an HOA approval letter specific to those applications. Any further changes requiring a review of “Minor Exterior Alteration” will require an HOA approval letter for each change element.
