Dear Mike:
Please accept this as a scope of work permit submittal to make minor smoke detector device location
adjustments to better comply with NFPA72 code and Vail standards. Currently, existing device
locations are slightly outside code parameters. As the house is undergoing a cosmetic renovation, the
owners have agreed to have the devices moved. We will also install a carbon monoxide detector in
the mudroom and in the kitchen as per Vail standards.
The system installed is a currently supported Concord 4 that will not need to be replaced. We will be
adding system sensor COSMOD combination smoke and carbon monoxide detectors in applicable
locations. In order to re-use existing wiring, they system will not be zoned by floor and all detectors
will report as one zone. Smoke and Carbon Monoxide alarms will both latch and will require a code
reset to clear the alarm.
Our installation will be performed in accordance with applicable NFPA 72 standards, International
Building Code, International Fire Code, NFPA 70 and Town of Vail installation standards except as
noted above.
