Gretchen:
The HJOA BOD has approved removal of the three Aspen trees as requested below pending ToV
approval. Please send me a copy of the ToV approval prior to removal, stump grinding if necessary and
rebarking of the area.
Regarding the dogwood shrubs, before we can approve, we will require a simple scaled plan from Ceres
showing the current deck, other trees and shrubs and the units as well as expected size of the
dogwoods. Once we have the plan and information, we will quickly review. If sprinkler adjustments are
required, please confirm these would be paid by the Owners.
Thanks,
Ken Harding.

Several weeks ago Chris, the arborist from CeresLandscape was on the property tagging
Spruce trees he felt needed to be root-fed because they are lacking nutrients to keep

them healthy at their maturity. Chris also suggested that removing the 3 Aspen between
and crowding and robbing the Spruce of nutrients on the berm in front of unit 3&4 a
positive action for the healthy Spruce.
Therefore, the Busses and Rosenthal’s are seeking the Board of Director’s approval to
remove the 3 Aspen from the front, at our expense to eliminate the problem now and
save the Spruce.
Also, while Ceres was here Chris suggested planting 3 Dogwood shrubs in the area
between our back-decks to give each owner some privacy and enhance the area. This
cost will also be paid by the Busses and Rosenthals.
We would appreciate the Board’s approval ASAP so Ceres can get Town approval to
remove the Aspen and the shrubs planted before the roof project begins.
Thank you for your consideration.
Regards,
Gretchen and Len Busse
