Project Description:
Art in Public Places is installing a new art piece on the wall at the west end of the
Village Parking Structure. The installation will require the removal of seven small
aspens trees - five of which are either diseased or have structural damage.
They were planted only 3 years ago. A new planting plan for the base of the wall
will be designed to accent the artwork. Plantings will be 3-6’ in height to ensure
they will not obscure the letters as plants grow. The new plan will be submitted in
the next several weeks once the final location and size of the artwork is
determined.

Conditions:
- Approval of this project shall lapse and become void one (1) year following the date of final approval, unless
a building permit is issued and construction is commenced and is diligently pursued toward completion.
- Design Review Board approval shall not become valid for 20 days following the date of approval, pursuant
to the Vail Town Code, Chapter 12-3-3 Appeals.
- No changes to these plans maybe made without the written consent of Town of Vail staff and/or the
appropriate review committee(s).
- The applicant shall supply a planting plan for staff review and approval prior to July 4, 2018.
