Background
Ms. Sonja Hinish,PE visited the above-referenced site on May 29,2018 to perform a limited visual inspection
of the completed welds at the structural steel framing supporting the moveable wall partitions in the
Gore/Columbine Rooms and Wildwood Room. We reviewed the steel framing and welds for general
conformance with the details in our Drawings dated February 12, 2018. We prepared this report containing a
summary of our observations,opinions,and recommendations which were discussed with field personnel while
on site.We did not perform any other testing during our site visit.
Observations
During our site visit,we observed and discussed the following items:
1. Our review included observation and visual inspection of a representative sample of welds at the structural
steel framing supporting the new moveable partition walls in the Wildwood and Gore/Columbine Rooms
and the ceiling isolation hanger supports installed between steel bar joists in the Gore/Columbine Rooms.
It should be noted that we did not perform a 100%visual inspection of the welds as access to the welds and
our time on site was limited. Slag was still present on a portion of many of the welds which also limited
our review(Photo 1).Based on our design and engineering judgement,we did not observe weld conditions
requiring repair or correction.Photos of typical welds can be found in Photo 2 through Photo 4.
To the best of my information, knowledge, and belief, the special inspections for the steel framing on this
project have been completed in general accordance with our Drawings.
