GPG DESIGNS ARCHITECTURE May 14, 2018 Project narrative for 4425 Glenn Falls Lane The owners wish to extend theirrecreation room and bedroom above,by 54" at the rear of t heir home. Work was completed in t his area on an earlier addition, about 14 years ago, t hat createda water intrusion issue. The house is comprised of a main roof thathas a pyramid shape and theadditionwhich is a gable. The tworoofs createa water damn at their intersection. The owner needs t o roof t his area to provide drainage,or at thevery least keep snow from cumulatingin this valley. While doing thistheywould like to capture the interior space and utilizeit to createa nicer master suite. This small addition will not be visible from neighbors given t his homes position on a high back on t he southern side of Gore Creek. They will also be doing some work on the existinginteriorspaces which will have minor impacts on the exterior. Removal of a wood burning fireplace will eliminatethechimney. Stair reconfiguration will require a minor change to a front window. Lastly, t he owner would like t o change thetransom units on t he front windows over the garage to both be full arch heads, versus split tingt he bedrooms with half arches.
