Peterman Asbestos Testing, Project Design, and Consulting IN 1.KODUCTION: On April 3rd, 2007 an inspection/survey was conducted and 4 bulk samples were collected from the: Residence 1190 B Casolar Del Norte Drive Vail, CO. 81657 The purpose of the inspection/survey was to locate and sample suspected Asbestos containing materials that might be present in the area of the Residence Unit that is planned for renovation. The inspection was made, and the samples were collected by John R. Peterman, an A.H.E.R.A. and State of Colorado Certified Asbestos Inspector. Great care was taken during the inspection and sampling to be as accurate as possible. It should be noted that minimal damage was done to the existing building structures during the inspection so there is no documentation for unseen conditions or stored items. All samples were analyzed by DCM Science Lab in Wheatridge, CO. This laboratory is deemed "Proficient" in the E.P.A.Quality Assurance (QA) program for the determination of asbestos in bulk materials, and is accredited by the American Hygiene Association (AHA). SAMPLING PROTOCOL; A random sampling scheme was used to sample the suspect materials that were discovered. The interior walls are covered in sheetrock with a texture applied to it. The ceilings are covered in sheetrock like the walls, and spray on ceiling texture in some area. The floors are covered with carpet, and ceramic tiles. CONCLUSIONS & RECOMMENDATIONS: Laboratory analysis, of the bulk samples, indicates that no Asbestos was detected in any of the bulk samples. The purpose of this inspection was to make a final review of the framing and to scrutinize the penetrations through the framing ...:....bets that have been made by the plumbers and electricians. I found that the framing has been done according to the plans and specifications certified by this office, with modifications that were coordinated between the contractor and myself on July 31, 2007. 1 did not find any issues with the penetrations through the members made by the tradesmen.
