Fire Protection System --3rd Floor—West— ROUGH-IN INSPECTION
Mr. Vaughan:
Due to scheduling issues, RLS was requested and permitted by the Town of Vail Fire Rescue
Services to provide rough-in inspection of the Fire Alarm installation on the 3rd Floor.
Rondinelli Life Safety was on-site on August 15, 2018, to provide rough-in inspection of fire
alarm devices on the 3`d floor—West Building 3. This inspection began with Alarm Specialists at
approximately 10:30a m and ended at 11:00pm. Below you find my comments and
observations from today.
1. It appeared that wiring, electrical boxes and support brackets were in the process of
being installed in the corridor and would be completed once the corridor ceiling was
installed. Smoke detector bases were not installed in the corridors.
2. The smoke detector bases located in the guest rooms were all installed properly and in
acceptable locations. Patch and paint around the smoke detector bases was still
required.
Based upon our observations, the `rough-in' of the fire alarm system on the 3rd floor -West
Building is installed in accordance the permit documents and should be permitted to proceed
