The complex includes two buildings, building a and building b. The existing boiler intake and
exhaust are enclosed in partial height concrete enclosures. The two enclosures are currently
different in height and exterior material:
· Building a is constructed of cmu, painted to match the stucco, has pvc piping for the
intake and exhaust and extents approximately 12’ above grade.
· Building b is assumed to be concrete, covered with matching stucco, has a metal intake
lover on the north and extents approximately 4’ above grade.
The proposed work will make the enclosures for each building the same. The scope of work
includes:
· Extending the height of the existing footprint of the enclosures to match the adjacent
roof
· The boiler exhaust will be extended to discharge from the top of the enclosure and
painted to match the existing coping
· The finish will be stucco, painted to match the existing adjacent building
· A new air intake louver will be installed on the east face
· The existing light will be relocated
Brian Sipes recently spoke with Justin about presentation requirements. It was discussed that
elevations aren’t required, and Justin would consider photo overlays. Justin requests enough
information to show the materials, the extent of the changes and the component
materials/fixtures that are being added.
