To Whom It May Concern,
RE: Manor Vail Lodge Unit 377
Subject: Asbestos Test
I, Brian Hattersley of Heritage Custom Renovations, had an initial conversation with Glen & CJ about need for
building permit for removal of drop ceiling. I was advised that a building permit would not be necessary at that
time. AK Electric and Western States Fire Protection submitted for their own permit applications. If at electrical
inspection, inspector observed work that he/she thought may require a standard building permit, I would need
to apply for one at that time.
Once drop ceiling was removed, I discovered that the dryer vent and bath exhaust fan were not properly vented
and knew then that a building permit would be required. To be proactive, I submitted for permit approval for
this work. Permit was returned pending an asbestos test. Ceiling had been removed and disposed of and there
was and is no remaining ceiling to test. Per conversation with Glen, May 10, 2018, he requested documentation
of the situation in order to further review permit application.
Thank you,
Brian Hattersley
