Dear Mr. Parra, The Scope of Work for this project included a visual inspection, sample collection of suspect and analysis of the material in question at the Residence. This Scope of Work was performed by Mr. Robert Ragan of R2 Analytical an EPA and State of Colorado Certified Asbestos Building Inspector# 3143. Inspecting Sampling Scope of Work:  Identify & collect samples of suspect asbestos containing material (ACM) in areas designated for renovation by the client.  Provide laboratory analysis of suspect ACM  Provide report of findings. Methodology Field Work: The construction specific asbestos survey was performed by collecting samples from suspect ACM to be impacted by this project. This survey was conducted in general accordance with EPA National Emissions Standards for Hazardous Air Pollutants (NESHAPS) and the Occupational Safety and Health Administration’s (OSHA) regulation 29 CFR 1926.1101. A material is considered by the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and the State of Colorado to be asbestos-containing if at least one sample collected from the homogenous material has asbestos present in a concentration greater than one percent (>1 %). R2 Analytical 5177 South Ventura Way Centennial, CO 80015 303-210-1349 Fax 303-632-8226 rragan2@comcast.net R2 Analytical All samples were submitted to Reservoirs Environmental, Inc., under proper chain-of- custody procedures, for analysis of asbestos content on 2-hour turn-around. Reservoirs Environmental, Inc. participates in the National Voluntary Laboratory Accreditation Program (NVLAP). ACM Sample Findings Bulk samples were collected from the following building material;  Homogeneous area A- Textured drywall from the walls from the walls and ceiling in the bathroom to be remodeled A total of 3 samples were collected from one (1) identified homogenous Of the three samples collected, asbestos was not detected by laboratory analysis. The textured drywall may be altered or demolished without special engineering controls. Please refer to the attached RES report 415618-1 for Laboratory Analysis of bulk samples CONCLUSIONS AND RECOMMENDATIONS R2 Analytical recommends the building material identified and sampled in this survey can be demolished or altered without special engineering controls. *It should be noted building materials discovered during demolition that have not been analyzed at 4552 Meadow Drive Vail Colorado must be assumed asbestos, until tested and proven otherwise. Any material not identified that will be impacted by renovation /remodel activities must be removed in accordance with the State of Colorado Regulation 8 Part B and OSHA.
