Planner: Jonathan Spence To: Vail Design & Review Board From: Scott F. O’Connell Date 08/13/2018 RE: Vail Golf Course #15 Tee Box Town of Vail Design & Review Board, The Vail Recreation District and The Town of Vail are currently planning the renovation of the Vail Golf Course #15 Tee Complex. The existing tee complex was constructed using a keystone block retaining wall system. This wall is currently showing significant deflection and is failing in several areas of the tee. We are proposing the removal and grading of this area to eliminate the need for retaining walls. As a result of grading the area to eliminate walls we are also proposing to remove one area of Aspen trees to open up the tee complex and add square footage. This will help in the long-term maintenance of this area. We have provided some photos of the existing conditions that we hope to address with this project. We look forward to answering any questions you may have regarding our project. Scott F.
