Provide mechanical and electrical system repair, replacement and refurbishment services as necessary to accommodate the replacement of the existing laundry equipment. Scope to include: • Remove existing washer/extractors and dryers. Replace with new equipment and reconnect utilities. o Relocate dryers along north wall of Laundry Room. o Extend dryer exhaust ductwork to new dryers. o Reconnect power to new washers and dryers and provide new non-fused disconnects. o Extend CW, HW and drain piping to new washers o Extend natural gas piping to new dryers. o Repair dryer outside air supply grill. • Remove existing dishwasher and associated abandoned mechanical and electrical. • Relocate smoke detectors, exit signs, egress lighting, etc. to accommodate relocated doorway to laundry. • Replace existing fluorescent lighting fixtures with new LED vapor-tight ceiling mounted fixtures. • Install new towel folder o Extend new power circuit. o Extend existing compressed air to folder. • Inspect existing commercial laundry exhaust duct system. Repair ductwork leaks, if any. Clean duct if necessary. • Relocate existing doorway from Laundry Room to Service Corridor. 6" door to be replaced with 5' door system. GENERAL NOTES 1. Obtain and pay for all necessary permits, inspections and fees or charges necessary for execution and completion of the work. 2. Conform to the prevailing edition of the International Codes, National Electric Code and to the Town of Vail requirements. 3. The building will be occupied by the owner during construction. Continued operation of the facility shall not be hindered by this work unless coordinated with the owner in advance. 4. Field verify existing equipment or ductwork remaining to be connected to new or existing systems. Provide ductwork, controls, diffusers, etc. as required to restore continuity of systems or to make work meet existing conditions whether indicated or not. 5. Provide demolition as required and dispose of all removed ductwork, equipment, conduit, etc. 6. Offset ductwork as necessary to accommodate structure, beams, columns and existing equipment. 7. All existing support rods and strap now supporting ducts, pipes, conduit, etc. that are removed to allow room for installation of new equipment shall be relocated and reinstalled, or replaced if damaged. 8. Extend and/or modify existing MEP utility services to new laundry equipment in ccordance with equipment manufacturers' requirements. SHEET MEP-1
