Re: Unit 40 Remodel—Revised Application for Air Conditioning
Dear Shayne:
The Board of Directors has reviewed the revised proposal for air conditioning as described in the
attachments:
a. Proposed exterior condensing unit to be mounted on an anti-vibration pad on the balcony
adjacent and parallel to the eastern section of the balcony rail as shown in the attached photo.
Action: approved with conditions:
— Unit color to match the building;
— Plumbing and electrical conduits from the exterior compressor to the inside must enter
the building behind and below the top of the compressor and be routed within Unit 40
to the various system components;
b. Layout and equipment specifications attached.
Action: approved. No interior units may interfere with the operation of the fire/sprinkler
system; relocation of fire/sprinkler system elements was not included in the application and is
not approved;
c. Dedicated electrical circuits have already been included in last year's electrical work.
Action: no action needed
d.All interior unit condensate drains to sinks; plumbing already in place.
Action: No action needed.
Additional conditions of approval:
— The owner is responsible for all upgrades to electrical service to support this installation.
— All approvals are subject to the Construction Agreement previously signed and to the Rules and
Regulations,Architectural Change and Design Review of Unit Modifications, Common Element
Modification Policy and Universal Policy on Unit Renovations, all of which can be found on the 9
Vail Road website. As General Contractor, ULF&Associates LLC is not only bound by these
policies and agreements but also responsible for ensuring all subcontractors comply with these
policies.

All logistics regarding parking,trash removal, construction materials delivery and building access must
be coordinated with Tom Saalfeld of Ptarmigan Management before any work starts.
Copies of all building permits and Design Review Board permits must be delivered to Tom Saalfeld of
Ptarmigan Management before any work may be started.
By copy to Town of Vail Community Development,this letter also documents the Association's approval
and conditions of approval for application for Town of Vail building permits and Design Review Board
reviews. Please include a copy of this letter in your application to Town of Vail.
