Re: Scope of Work for Fire Alarm System
Dear Mike,
The following is a scope of work to be performed for the Vail Escape Room at the Vail Gateway
Plaza.
The scope of work will be to bring the remodeled area up to NFPA standards adopted by Vail
Fire. Work performed to remove all existing automatic smoke detection from the space. All
existing manual pull stations will be removed from doors that are not direct emergency egresses.
All wire no longer being used will be removed from the space. Existing notification devices will
be reconfigured for the space so that the public waiting area and corridors will be provided with
notification. Individual escape rooms will not, as the occupants are locked in the space and will
require staff to let them out in an emergency situation. All notification will be ceiling mount.
These devices will be added to the current main fire alarm control system, a Notifier NFS2-3030
in and will provide continuity between the new area and the existing building.
Once work has been completed and tested, CSI will contact Vail Fire and schedule a final fire
alarm test of the new area.
