Please review the email below and the attachments. All interior changes are not subject to HOA approval. The exterior
changes are subject to HOA approval. They are minor changes and I believe that they will be an improvement to the

Hi Steve & Hugh,
Sorry for the delay on forwarding the Alpenrose proposed modifications. I was waiting for conformation what the Town
of Vail's DRB would allow a color change to the south facing windows from "Red" to "Brown" on the restaurant
level. Unfortunately, the DRB will not allow at this time to change colors unless all windows facing to the south be
changed. This would include Hugh's second floor windows. I recommended to Franz to not pursue this request and
Franz agreed. The only changes to the south exterior patio will be to overlaying the existing deck with a rough-sawn
doug fur deck material as shown on the Architectural A1.01 attached drawings. This would give a more European alpine
appearance. At the same time, all the existing metal patio furniture will be removed and replaced with a more European
alpine traditional wood deck furniture. I will forward you more details once available. No changes to the exterior north
facing of the restaurant at this time.
Please see the Architectural drawings for the interior space. At this time, the biggest changes to the interior will be in
the mill work throughout the space. Pretty much all the existing beams, base/casing and existing wood floor will be
replaced with new. The seating arrangement will be changed as seen in the drawings. A couple of small changes will
take place in the kitchen with new equipment as well.
As of now, the drawings have been submitted to TOV for review minus the request for the window/ door color
changes. Hopefully,TOV will issue a permit by the end of this week or the beginning of next week.
