Subject: Notice of Violation
Dear Mr. Lightfield,
I was good to speak with you today and per your request I am following up with a letter to review our conversation.
I own the home at 4230 Spruce Way. Apparently there is a concern of a pond effect formed on Spruce Creek due to
landscape changes.
Last summer I made very minor changes to the creek bordering my property. The water was minimal and a small island
of"sludge" had formed in the middle of the creek where there has been a very small pond for the last 20 years.
For at least the last 5-6 years the water flow has been decreased and a self cleansing affect from normal water run off has
not occurred and deposit build up had occurred. There use to be a small pond in this area but last year due to very
minimal water flow the creek was slightly flowing around this self made island. I asked my yard maintenance people to
add some rock to the border of this small island to increase water flow and to minimize the bugs and odor.
I appreciate your concerns and thank you for all that you do for the town and its residents. If I can be of any further
information please do not hesitate to contact me.
Sincerely,
Ken Versman
