ELECTRICAL ENGINEER OF RECORD AT CATOR, RUMA & ASSOCIATES, CO.
WILL NOT BE RESPONSIBLE FOR SEALING AND SIGNING THE FIRE ALARM
SYSTEM SHOP DRAWING SUBMITTAL.
WALL OR CEILING MOUNT FIRE ALARM REMOTE INDICATORS ABOVE THE
DOOR OF ASSOCIATED ROOMS AS SHOWN.
LOCATE SMOKE DETECTORS PER NFPA 72 AND MANUFACTURERS
REQUIREMENTS. THE LOCATIONS OF SMOKE DETECTORS ON THE
DRAWINGS ARE DIAGRAMMATIC ONLY. DETECTORS SHALL NOT BE PLACED
WITHIN 3'-0" OF ANY CEILING MOUNTED HVAC SUPPLY AIR DEVICE.
LOCATE ALL CONTROL PANELS AND POWER SUPPLIES IN TELECOM OR
ELECTRICAL ROOMS/CLOSETS. VERIFY OTHER LOCATIONS WITH OWNER
PRIOR TO INSTALLATION/ROUGH-IN. COORDINATE WITH OTHER TRADES
AND DOCUMENT FINAL LOCATIONS IN SUBMITTALS.
NEW FIRE ALARM DEVICES SHALL MATCH EXISTING, UNLESS NOTED
OTHERWISE. PROVIDE RE-PROGRAMMING OF SYSTEM AS REQUIRED TO
ACCOMMODATE NEW DEVICES. REVISE EXISTING ANNUNCIATOR(S) AND
GRAPHIC ZONE MAP(S) TO REFLECT PROJECT FIRE ALARM AND
ARCHITECTURAL MODIFICATIONS. UPDATE GRAPHIC ZONE MAPS IN BOTH
THE FIRE COMMAND CENTER AND ON THIS FLOOR AS REQUIRED. SUBMIT
TO ENGINEER AND BUILDING/FIRE DEPARTMENTS FOR REVIEW PRIOR TO
INSTALLATION.
THE EXISTING FIRE ALARM DEVICES IN THE SMOKE ZONE OF THE AREA OF
WORK MAY REQUIRE REPLACEMENT TO BE COMPATIBLE WITH THE
EXISTING FIRE ALARM SYSTEM. SIMPLEX MUST DETERMINE WHICH
EXISTING DEVICES AND COMPONENTS WILL REQUIRE REPLACEMENT AND
MUST INCLUDED IT IN THE BID.
