1. NEW FLOOR SHEATHING IS 3/4" TONGUE & GROOVE APA RATED STURDI-FLOOR, EXPOSURE 1,
RATING 24" o.c.
2. INTERIOR STRUCTURAL COLUMNS SHALL BE (3)-2x6 MINIMUM.
3. "LVL" "MICRO-LAM OR "VL" INDICATES: LAMINATED VENEER LUMBER BEAM AS MANUFACTURED BY
BOISE CASCADE CORPORATION. ALTERNATIVES SHALL HAVE THE SAME OR GREATER CAPACITIES
AS THOSE LISTED IN THE "STRUCTURAL GENERAL NOTES".
4. THE EXISTING CENTRAL CRAWL SPACE WALL IS CONSTRUCTED OF PRESSURE TREATED STUDS
WITH TREATED PLYWOOD SHEATHING. MODIFICATIONS REQUIRED TO THIS WALL SHALL BE MADE
WITH PRESSURE TREATED WOOD AND FASTENERS THAT ARE COMPATIBLE WITH THE EXISTING
SYSTEM. IF SIGNS OF ROT OR DETERIORATION OF THE EXISTING TREATED WOOD MATERIAL ARE
DISCOVERED, A REPLACEMENT OF THAT MATERIAL WITH NEW SHALL BE DONE.
5. RE: ARCHITECTURAL DRAWINGS FOR RAILING AND STAIR FRAMING DETAILS.
6. DESIGN OF STRUCTURAL FRAMING MODIFICATIONS WERE BASED ON REVIEW OF ORIGINAL
CONSTRUCTION DRAWINGS DATED 1991, PROPOSED ARCHITECTURAL DRAWINGS AND A SITE VISIT
9 / 29/16. DUE TO THE NATURE OF REMODEL PROJECTS THE ACTUAL ORIGINAL CONSTRUCTION MAY
NOT AGREE WITH THE PROPOSED REMODEL DRAWINGS. IT IS IMPERATIVE THAT CONTRACTOR
INFORM ENGINEER OF DISCREPANCIES IN MEASUREMENTS, MATERIAL AND CONSTRUCTION THAT
ARE DISCOVERED DURING CONSTRUCTION SO THAT FURTHER EVALUATION AND DIRECTION CAN BE
PROVIDED.
