CONDITIONS BEFORE STARTING WORK. SHOULD A DISCREPANCY
APPEAR IN THE CONTRACT DOCUMENTS, OR BETWEEN THE
CONTRACT DOCUMENTS AND EXISTING CONDITlONS, THE
SUB-CONTRACTOR SHALL NOTIFY THE GENERAL CONTRACTOR.
SHOULD A CONFLICT OCCUR IN OR BETWEEN DRAWINGS AND
SPECIFICATIONS, CONSULT WITH THE GENERAL CONTRACTOR FOR
CLARIFICATION.

and Vail Fire and Emergency Services fire sprinkler installation standards.

NOTES:
1. Openings around bathtubs, showers, water closets, pipes,
wires or other objects that penetrate concrete slabs or other
floor assemblies shall be filled with a polyurethane caulk or
equivalent sealant applied in accordance with the
manufacturer’s recommendations.
2. Condensate drains shall be trapped or routed through non
perforated pipe to daylight.
3. Sump pits open to soil or serving as the termination point for
sub-slab or exterior drain tile loops shall be covered with a
gasketed or otherwise sealed lid.
4. Penetrations of concrete walls shall be filled.
5. Ductwork passing through or beneath a slab shall be of
seamless material unless the air-handling system is designed
to maintain continuous positive pressure within such ducting.
Joints in such ductwork shall be sealed to prevent air leakage.
Provide 4" ABS, PVC, or equivlent gas-tight, subslab
depressurization vent. Route through interior walls to roof.
Provide positive drainage to the ground beneath the slab.
All control joints, isolation joints, construction joints
and any other joints in concrete slabs or between
slabs and foundation walls shall be sealed with a
caulk or sealant. Gaps and joints shall be cleared of
loose material and filled with polyurethane caulk or
other elastomeric sealant applied in accordance with
the manufacturer’s recommendations.
Install continuous layer of InsulTarp R-6 Subslab insulation/vapor barrier
on top of 4" of free draining gravel per manufacture's instruction. The
sheeting shall fit closely around any pipe, wire or other penetrations of
the material.
Extend vent pipe 12" above roof.
Install 90 degree fitting and 4" drain tile
embedded in free draining gravel. Extend to lower guest and garage slabs.
Provided sprayed Dissco waterproofing at basement walls and damp
proofing at frost walls
per manufacture's instructions.
Allow for future fan in laundry attic.
Provide 110 volt outlet.
