23.1 DISCONNECT SPLIT SYSTEMS AND TURN OVER UNITS, ACCESSORIES, AND
CONTROLS TO OWNER. TYPICAL OF 3 INDOOR UNITS AND 3 OUTDOOR UNITS.
23.2 EQUIPMENT IN MECHANICAL ROOM TO REMAIN. KEEP EXISTING DUCTWORK,
PIPING, AND CONTROLS IN PLACE EXCEPT WHERE OTHERWISE NOTED.
23.3 DEMOLISH THE INDICATED EXHAUST FAN (TAG EF-2, SERVING EXISTING
BATHROOMS WITH 10" DIA. DUCTWORK PER THE 2003 MECHANICAL DRAWINGS).
TURN OVER FAN TO OWNER.
23.4 REMOVE WALL MOUNTED ELECTRIC HEATER AND TURN OVER TO OWNER.
23.5 DEMOLISH ALL DUCTWORK FOR BOTH AIR HANDLER UNITS LOCATED ABOVE THE
VESTIBULE.
23.9 DEMOLISH HEATING AND VENTILATION DUCTWORK SERVING THE FORMER HOT
TUB AREA BACK TO THE INDICATED DUCT ELBOW.
23.10 DEMOLISH EXISTING EXHAUST AND RELIEF DUCTWORK SERVING THE FORMER
HOT TUB AREA BACK TO THE INLET OF THE INDICATED FAN.
23.12 DEMOLISH INDICATED AIR HANDLING UNIT AND ALL ATTACHED DUCT AND PIPING.
KEY NOTES
NOT IN SCOPE OF DEMOLITION
1. UNLESS SPECIFICALLY NOTED, REMOVE ALL HVAC DISTRIBUTION SYSTEMS IN
THEIR ENTIRETY. THIS INCLUDES BUT IS NOT LIMITED TO EQUIPMENT (WHERE
INDICATED), DUCTWORK, PIPING, AIR DEVICES, AND ALL ASSOCIATED COMPONENTS
AND SUPPORTS. PATCH AND REPAIR ALL AREAS THAT ARE TO REMAIN WHERE
ITEMS WERE ATTACHED OR SUPPORTED.
2. COORDINATE EXTENT OF DEMOLITION WITH NEW WORK IN ALL LOCATIONS
WHERE MECHANICAL COMPONENTS ARE TO REMAIN.
3. REMOVE THE TEMPERATURE CONTROLS SYSTEM COMPONENTS ASSOCATIED
WITH ANY REMOVED EQUIPMENT. THIS INCLUDES BUT IS NOT LIMITED TO CONTROL
PANELS, PANEL POWER FEEDS, DISTRIBUTION PANELS, CONTROL WIRING, AND
ROOM THERMOSTATS. WHERE DAMPERS AND VALVES ARE TO REMAIN, THEIR
RESPECTIVE ACTUATORS ARE TO REMAIN.
4. CONTRACTOR TO REMOVE ANY MECHANICAL COMPONENTS WITHIN WALLS
INDICATED TO BE DEMOLISHED ON ARCHITECTURAL DEMOLITION PLANS.
5. PROTECT ALL EQUIPMENT TO REMAIN FROM DAMAGE DURING DEMOLITION.
PROVIDE TEMPORARY COVERS AND CAP ENDS OF ALL PIPING AND DUCTWORK AT
COMPLETION OF PARTIAL DEMOLITION.
6. COORDINATE WITH ELECTRICAL DEMOLITION BEFORE REMOVING DUCTWORK
CONTAINING SMOKE DETECTORS OR EQUIPMENT, DEVICES AND SYSTEMS HAVING
ELECTRICAL CONNECTIONS.
