Building Permit Application – Guestrooms and Public Spaces
Detailed Scope and Location of Work:
Guestrooms:
Remove and/or relocate SPST toggle switch at entry and replace with new rocker switch
with built-in LED night-lite.
Remove (4) and (5) lamp incandescent sconce lighting over vanities and replace with
LED back-lit electric mirror.
Remove and/or relocate wall mounted hearing impaired devices in newly configured
ADA guest bathrooms.
Relocate GFCI receptacles at 44” AFF as required for new ADA Guest bathrooms
reusing the existing circuit.
Remove (2) and (3) lamp incandescent sconce lighting and associated switching above
niche counter. No new lighting to be installed.
Remove and relocate receptacle from above niche counter to standard 18” AFF.
Remove and relocate bathroom light switches from outside of ADA bathrooms to
bathroom interior door strike side wall. Lighting and fan activation to be combined on
relocated / new switch.
Existing fire alarm and smoke detection on guest bed side of wall being removed to be
reused / relocated on new guest bed side wall.
All existing to remain recessed lighting at guestroom entry is to have all incandescent
flood light lamping removed and replaced with new LED lamping. Typical for all
guestrooms.
Guestrooms with lofts and stair relocation are to have 3-way switching added to bottom
and top of new stairs. Incandescent wall sconces are being replaced with new LED
sconces
Guestrooms with kitchen wall work are reusing the existing circuits at same locations
with installation of horizontal receptacles and no load changes.
2nd floor guest laundry is being converted back into a guestroom. It still has the original
receptacles/circuits in addition to the multiple (2) pole washer and dryer circuits being
removed in their entirety back to the panels.
Guestroom Corridors
All (2) lamp incandescent wall mounted sconces, incandescent wall pack egress lighting
and wire along 2nd, 3rd and 4th floor Guestroom corridors is to be removed back to
source.
All 1’x2’ (2) lamp recessed fluorescent and 6” recessed 75w incandescent lighting above
guestroom doors and wire is to be removed back to source. Circuits are to be reused for
new 4” LED over guestroom doors and 6” LED along corridors.
New wall mounted LED egress fixtures are to be installed along 2nd, 3rd and 4th floor
corridors at approximately 20’ on center connected ahead of any switching.
All 6” recessed 75w incandescent lighting in vending areas is to be replaced with
recessed LED lighting.
All vending area receptacles are to be replaced with GFCI receptacles.
Public Spaces:
All lighting and receptacles are being removed from timber frame structure being
removed. Lighting circuits are being transferred to new LED lighting on existing porte-
cochere drive-up structure.
All incandescent lighting and receptacle loads are being removed from the front of house
areas to include the vestibule, check-in, existing ski shop, lobby area, offices, lounge,
restaurant, public restrooms, as this will now be an open lounge seating area.
Large meeting room sconces and (4) 2’x4’ fluorescent lighting is to be removed and
replaced with new recessed and cove LED lighting with Lutron controls.
All lighting and receptacles loads are being removed from the Spa / bathroom/ shower
and Sauna areas.
200A steam generator is being removed as the Sauna is being demolished and not
relocated.
Indoor hot tub is being removed and relocated to outdoor area. Circuits are being
extended and reused.
All lighting, receptacles and mechanical equipment is being removed from existing
Fitness, Spa/Therapy, Maintenance and storage areas.
Lounge, lobby, game room, made market and bar area to have new 6” recessed LED
lighting and vacancy/occupancy controls.
Main 1st floor corridor to have new recessed 6” LED lighting.
New Spa/Therapy, Boardroom, Meeting room and back-of house office areas are to
have new receptacles, data outlets, 4” / 6” recessed LED lighting and
vacancy/occupancy controls and/or dimming panels.
New public restrooms, fitness, maintenance, employee breakroom and employee locker
room areas are to have new recessed 6” or 2’x2’ LED lighting on vacancy / occupancy
controls with only single lighting fixtures in each area ahead of controls to act as night
lighting during periods of no use.
