Active Energies was contracted to perform a final blower door test to determine total air infiltration. The home is permitted under the Town of Vail and requires blower door testing per the IECC. The blower door testing must show a tested value of 3 ACH50 or lower in order to comply with the IECC. Site Observations Construction of the building envelope was complete. All exterior openings were shut and locked and interior doors were open. Cover plates on electrical and AV boxes were partially installed. The ERV was left in the off position, but intake and exhaust were uncovered. The blower door test was performed in the garage man door of the unit. The pressure probe place outside. Blower Door Test The unit was depressurized, utilizing blower door testing equipment to a pressure of-50 Pa. At the test pressure, the CFM50 was recorded, in order to determine the ACH5o. The blower door air leakage resulted in the following measurements: 2.9ACHso Page 1 of 4 12/27/2017 P.O. Box 1434,Edwards,CO 81632 P: 970.306.4237 P: 970.446.4984 NORTPENFRGY ACTIVE ENERGIES.. There may be an exterior penetration or other infiltration point allowing air into the corner wall assembly. This may be hard to identify as the units are pre-built. .54.0 °F 74.2 0- . 5 Seal abandoned baseboard penetration. There was significant air leakage at this point. .
