Peterman Asbestos Testing, Project Design, and Consulting ll�TTRODUCTION: On May 7th, 2007 an inspection/survey was conducted and 6 bulk samples were collected from The Residence . 315 Mill Creek Cr. Vail, CO. 81657 The purpose of the inspection/survey was to locate and sample suspected Asbestos containing materials that might be present in the area of the Residence that is planned for Renovation. The inspection was made, and the samples were collected by John R peterman, an A,H.F.Yt.A. and State of Colorado Certifieii Asbestos Iuspector. Great care was taken during the inspection and sampling to be as accurate as possible. It should be noted that minimal damage was done to the existing building strucaues during the inspection so there is no documentation for unseen conditions or stored items. All samples were analyzed by DCM Science Lab in Wheatridge, CO. This laboratory is deemed "Proficient" in the E.P.A.Quality Assurancc (QA) program for the determination of asbestos in bulk materials, and is accredited by the American Hygiene Association (AHA). At the roof iraming for the new domier over the guest bedroom, H�ere are a few rafters on the south side of which bear on a flat 2x6 running abng the new valley. Blodcing has been added beneath these rafters to incxease the bearing area. 2. At the top of the doRner over the guest bedroom, there is a short rafter (approximately T-0 long) which is notched to bear on tl�e existing steel beam. 3. 2x10 blodcing was not installed on the garage roof undem�lh a wall above, as indichted on plan- Gary informed me that blodcing would be ir�stalled as per plan. 4. A beam speafied as (3r1 3/4x14' LVL on plan was aoaderrtally replaced with a(3}1 3/4x11 7/8" LVL. The oorrec� beam had been instatled at the time of my site visit. The top of this beam was notd�ed to be�ar on the flange of the ebsting steel beam. The precedng iterns are acoeptable to support antiapated design loads.
