We stiil want to battle for this floor pian. Before i apply for the
variance I still believe there is a case which makes the new wall acceptable. A
parking spot according to the Town of Vail measures 9 feet wide by 19 feet long.
The garage space in question measures 19 feet long but the door opening or
width is 15 feet 9 inches. There was also existing structure in the back left hand
comer of the garage which made the space even smaller. Note the drawings.
According to the Town of Vail measurements for a parking space there is not 2
spots to begin with. Technically speaking a parking spot is not being taken away.
This will be our case if a variance is required. Could you please
advise.
1. If a variance is our only option is it possible to apply for framing,
insulation and drywall inspections to the unaffected area ( outside of
the garage ) so work can continue.+
