RE:Vail Marriott Condos deficiencies found.
Mr. Vaughan,
This letter is intended to describe the full scope of work for changes to the fire sprinkler system that will
be performed by Western States F ire Protection in units 387,389, 393, 395, 487, and 595.
Required repairs to the fire sprinkler system are as follows.
: Unit 387,389 - Replace damaged/painted escutcheons. Cut one drop to head to finished ceiling
elevation.
: Unit 393,395 - Raise two sidewall heads to required distance below ceiling. Existing heads are
Currently too low.
: Unit 487- Add two sidewall heads in living room for required coverage.
: Unit 595— Raise one sidewall head to required distance below ceiling. Existing head is currently too
low.
These systems are steel pipe/CPVC pipe combinations. All added materials will be compatible to the
existing systems.
It is our understanding that this letter will be sufficient to obtain a permit to proceed with the work
described above. No other work will be done without authorization from VF ES.If further information is
required to issue a permit please contact our office in Glenwood Springs at 970-618-3294.
