General Information:
All projects requiring design review must receive approval prior to submitting a building permit application.Please
refer to the submittal requirements for the particular approval that is requested.An application for Design Review ·
cannot be accepted until all required information is received by the Community Development Department. The
project may also need to be reviewed by the Town Council and/or the Planning and Environmental Commission.
Design review approval lapses unless a building permit is issued and construction commences within

NOTES:
1.If the utility approval &verification form has signatures from each of the utility companies, and no comments
are made directly on the form ,the Town will presume that there are no problems and the development can
proceed.
2.If a utility company has concerns with the proposed construction,the utility representative shall note directly
on the utility verification form that there is a problem which needs to be resolved. The issue should then be
detailed in an attached letter to the Town of Vail.However, please keep in mind that it is the responsibility of the
utility company and the applicant to resolve identified problems.'
3.These verifications do not relieve the contractor of the responsibility to obtain a PublicWay Permit from the
Department of Public Works at the Town of Vail. Utility locations must be obtained before digging in any public
right-of-way or easement within the Town of Vail. A building permit is not a Public Wav permit and must be
obtained separately.
The Developer is required and agrees to submit any revised drawings to the utilities for re-approval &re-
verification if the submitted plans are altered in any way after the authorized signature date (unless otherwise
specifically noted within the comment area of this form).

Gentlemen:
I, Warren M. Garbe,as President ofthe Sunlight Condominium Association located at
2289 Chamonix Lane provide this letter as written support ofthe Association for the
Application for Design Review and the attached documents.The members of the
Association strongly desire to complete this proposed improvement to the front ofthe
property and enhance the aesthetics ofthis area.
Members of the Association have attempted for the past eight (8) year s to establish native
plant and wildflower growth along the front berm ofthe property.This effort has not
been successful due to the continual erosion of the soil and plant roots down the slope.
After some discussion,we have concluded that the best solution is to install several low
stacked rock revetments along the face of the berm that wi11 created several benches to
retain the soil and allow long term establishment of perennial flowers and other ground
cover.
The proposed improvements include installing a twenty-six inch (26")high stacked rock
wall at the bottom of the slope;two fourteen inch (14") high stacked rock walls
intermittently up the slope and an eight inch (8")high stacked rock wall at the top crown.
The walls will be constructed from existing rocks on the property.The roadside drainage
channel would be cleaned and leveled to improve flow to the catch basin next to the
driveway. The existing native plants and wildflowers will be replanted in the new level
beds and similar additional perennial flowers will be added.The work is intended to be
done by the property owners during this spring and summer seasons.
I further understand that minor modifications may be made to the plans over the course of
the conceptual review process to ensure compliance with the Town ofVail applicable
codes and regulations.
