Compared to conventional modules, Solaria PowerXT modules have fewer gaps between the solar cells;this leads to higher power and superior aesthetics. Solaria PowerXT residential modules are manufactured with black backsheet and frames, giving them a striking appearance. Developed in California, Solaria's patented cell cutting and module assembly takes processed solar wafers and turns them into PowerXT solar modules. The process starts by creating a highly reliable PowerXT cell where busbars and ribbon interconnections are eliminated. Solaria then packages the cells into the PowerXT solar module, reducing inactive space between the cells. All of the above leads to an exceptionally efficient solar module produced in a cost effective manner. Higher Efficiency, Higher Power Solaria PowerXT modules achieve up to 20%efficiency;conventional modules achieve 15%—17%efficiency. Solaria PowerXT modules are one of the highest power modules available. Lower System Costs Solaria PowerXT modules produce more power per square meter area. This reduces installation costs due to fewer balance of system components. however, the decking beneath the substrate must be of adequate thickness for a given type of material. Please consult a local engineer or fastener manufacturer for additional guidance if needed. These guidelines begin after the mounting locations have been marked for each of the Easy Feet to be installed. For questions about layout see Power Rai1TM Design Guidelines. Decking Attached Fasteners: Decking Attachment Fasteners are typically supplied by DPW Solar/POWER- FAB®with the specific support as a kit. The specific fasteners supplied are from the GRK Fasteners Company, and is an RSSTM screw. GRK provides excellent documentation of their fasteners'capacities, including references to ICC-ESTM testing and selection criteria for various decking substrates. DPW Solar provides the RSS screws in the PHEINOXTM configuration with 1/4" diameter. From the bottom of Easy Foot,peel off the protective paper backing that protects the butyl mastic. (See Figure 1) B. Align the Easy Foot to the substrate and press firmly, sticking it to the substrate. (See Figure 2) C. Install the neoprene bonded washers onto the RSS PHEINOX screws with the rubber side down.
