A RESOLUTION ADOPTING THE BUDGET FOR THE TOWN OF VAIL, COLO-
RADO, BEGINNING ,TANUARY 1, 19b8, AND ENDING ON DECEMBER 31, 1968,
ESTIMATING THE AMOUNT OF MONEY NECESSARY TO BE RAI5ED BY
TAXE5, AND SETTING FORTH ESTIMATED EXPENDXTURES
WHEREAS The Tawn Recorder designated to prepare the annual budget far the
Town of Vail, Colorado, far the fiscal year beginning ,lanuary 1,
196$, and ending December 31, 196$, has prepared said budget
and subxraitted it to the Board of Trustees, and
WHEREAS The Board of Trustees held a public hearing on said budget on the
20th of November, 196?.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESDLVED, by the Board of Trustees of the Town
of Vail,
1. the total anticipated" 196$ Genexal Fund expenditures for the
Town of Vail are $159, 400. 00 and that total anticipated 1968
General Fund revenues for the Town of Vail are $159,400. 00,
and
2. that the Board of Trustees of the Town of Vail, do hereby adopt
the attached Budget as the 196$ Budget of the Town of Vail.
See Exhibit "A" attached hereto and by this reference incor-
porated herein.

AND LIABILITIES OF THE TOWN OF VAIL, COLORADO, FOR THE FISCAL
YEAR BEGINNING JANUARY 1, 19b8, AND ENDING DECEMBER 31, 19b8.
WHEREAS The Board of Trustees of the Town of Vail has adopted a budget
far the Town far the fiscal year beginning January 1, 1968, and
ending December 31, 1968, and
WHEREAS The Board of Trustees has adopted adequate taxing zneasuxes
necessary to provide for payment during the Town's said fiscal,
year of ail properly authorized demands upon the Treasury, a.nd
WHEREAS The Board of Trustees is now desirous of making appropriations
for the ensuing fiscal year,
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES Oi~
THE TOWN OF VAIL, COLORADO, THAT, the sum of $159, 400. 00 is her wU;r
appxopriated for the fiscal year c~ammencing on January 1, 196$, to cover
duly authorized expendituxes of the Tawn as estinnated in the adopted 1968
Budget.

RESOLUTION
WHEREAS, the National Housing .'pct of 1954, as amended, authorizes
grants of federal funds to official state planning agencies to aid them in pro,
viding planning assistance to municipalities with populations of less than
50, Q00 according to the 19x0 U. S. Census; and
WHEREAS, the Colorado State Planning Office is the official planning
agency for the State of Colorado and, as such, is qualified to receive grants
of federal funds under the provisions of the National Housing Act of 1954, as
amended; and
VvHEREAS, under the provisions of the said National Housing Act of
1954, as amended, the said Colorado State Planning Office may apply to the
Federal Government for two-thirds (2/8} of the cost of each planning project; and
WHEREAS, the Colorado Revised Statutes 1933, as amended, require
that the municipalities formally request the services of the Colorado State
Planning Office as heretofore described; and
WHEREAS, the funds are necessary to defray the expenses of said
planning project and must be deposited, on request, with the said Colorado
State Planning Office;
NOV+i, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY TkiE BOARD OF
TRUSTEES OF THE TOWN OF ~TATL that the State Planning Office is hereby

requested to provide this municipality with planning assistance camprising
such studies, surveys, technical services, and other planning work (excluding
plans for specific public works) as the said Office deternnines desirable undex
the existing circumstances; and
BE IT FUR'T'HER RESOLVED That the said municipality hereby
agrees to pledge and contribute £rom its appropriated funds the sum of
FIVE 'T'HOUSAND DOLLARS (~ 5, 000.00), which surr~ is one-third (1./~~ of
the total cast of the planning assistance to be furnished; to deposit with the
Treasurer a£ the State a£ Colorado such portian thereof as may be requested
during the progress of the warn; and to provide such technical services for
the project within the capability of the municipality as sha11 be required
by the Office, the total cost thereof not to exceed TWENTY'-FIVE HUNDRED
DOLLARS (~2, 500.00, which amount shall be credited against the municipal
funds above pledged.

WHEREAS, the Town of Vail •with a permanent population of
less than 1, 000 is required to operate under the Colorado Statutes governing
towns, and
WHEREAS, the Town of Vail serves a tran.gient pnpulatiox~. of
5, 000 and the Town and its special purpose districts have a combined budget
in excess of many towns of Z0, 000 population in Colorado, and
WHEREAS, the Town of Vail is required to operate under
statutory provisions ill suited to its local governmental needs, and
WHEREAS, the Town of Vail is desirous of obtaining municipal
home-rule powers,
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of Trustees of the Town of
Vail that the Colorado State Legislature is hereby requested to adopt the Local
Government Constitutional Reform Anrzendment, H.C.R. 1005.

RESOLUTION OF BOARD OF TRUSTEES
OF THE TOWN OF VAIL
WHEREAS major expansion and development of Vail and the area surround-
ing it, for skiing, for recreation and far othex purposes 'wi11
necessitate the xapid, varied and efficient transportation of
numerous visitors each year, and '
WHEREAS there is a corrxmunity of interest between the Vail resort and sici
area, and the Aspen xesort and ski area, and other ski areas in
the State of Colorado, which could be further developed to the
benefit of all ski areas in the State of Colorado by the increased
ease of traffic between them, and because of theix relative loca-
tion and separation by mountains, helicopter airlift shuttle service
between such areas would materially assist the public to achieve
such ease of traffic between Vail and Aspen, and other ski areas
in the State of Colorado.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the Board of Trustees of the
Town of Vail, Colorado, that this Board supports helicopter
airlift shuttle service between Aspen and Vail, and other ski axeas
in the State of Colorado.

RESOLUTION ADOPTING BUDGET
A RESOLUTION ADOPTING THE BUDGET FOR THE TOWN OF
VATL, COLORADO, FOR THE FISCAL YEAR BEGINNING ON
THE 1ST DAY OF JANUARY, 1969, AND ENDING ON THE
LAST DAY OF DECEMBER, 1969, ESTIMATING THE AMOUNT
OF MONEY NECESSARY TO BE RAISED BY TAX LEVY BASED
ON THE SAID BUDGET SO ADOPTED; ESTIMATING THE
AMOUNT OF MONEY TO BE DERIVED FROM OTHER REVENUE
SOURCES; AND SETTING FORTH THE TOTAL ESTIMATED
EXPENDITURES FOR EACH FUND,
WHEREAS, the Tawn Clerk designated to prepare the annual
budget for Vai 1, Colorado, far the fiscal year beginning January 1,
1969, and ending December 31, 1969, has prepared said budget and
!submitted it to the Board of Trustees, and
WHEREAS, the Board of Trustees held a public hearing an
said budget an October ? 1.968,
AND, WHEREAS, the assessed valuation of taxable property
for the year 1968 in the Town of Vail, Colorado, as returned by
the County Assessor of Eagle County, Colorado, is the sum of
$5,171,,175.00.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE TT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES
OF THE TOWN OF VATL, COLORADO:
Section l: That the estimated revenue for the various
funds of the Town of Vail, Colorado is:
See Exhibit riAtr attached hereto and by this reference
incorporated herein.
Section 2: That the estimated expenditures for each
fund of the Town of Vail, Colorado are as follows:
See Exhibit "A" attached hereto and by this reference
incorporated herein.
Section 3: That the budget for the Town of Vail,, Colo~-
rada, for the fiscal year beginning January 1, 1969, and ending
December 31, 1959, as heretofore submitted to the Board of Truste
by the Tawn Clerk, and as changed and amended by said Board of
Trustees be, and the same hereby is adopted and approved as the
budget for the Town of Vail, Colorado, for said fiscal year.
Section 4; That the budget herein approved and adopted
shall be signed by the Mayor and the Town Clerk, and made a part
of the public records of the Town.
