DAVEY WILSON 1. PUBLIC HEARING - Consideration of the Authority of the issuance of a Special Events Permit for the Nancy Davis Foundation, P.O. Box 2300, Aspen, Colorado, to host the Nancy Davis Race to Erase MS, at the location of the Manor Vail Lodge south parking area, 595 E. Vail Valley Drive, Vail, Colorado on February 10, 1995 from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 midnight. APPROVED, 4 -0 pending receipt of copy of applicants Colorado Retail Sales Tax License. 2. Consideration of the Authority of a 100% Transfer of Ownership of a Hotel and Restaurant License with Extended Hours for CDS Vail, Inc., d /b /a Doolittle's 19th Hole, at the location of 616 W. Lionshead Circle, Vail, Colorado. a) 100% Transfer of Ownership Charles D. Staley, President, Treasurer, & 100% Shareholder Holly informed the Authority the TOV has a pedestrian right -of -way easement across the outdoor deck area. The Town has granted permission to applicant to operate an outdoor deck pursuant to a license agreement with the Town. Charles Staley will execute said agreement and return promptly to Holly. APPROVED, 4 -0 b) Manager Registration Jeff Mills, Registered Manager APPROVED, 4 -0 3. PUBLIC HEARING - Consideration of the Authority of a new issue of a Hotel and Restaurant license with extended hours for The Daily Grind Coffee Company, Inc., at the location of 288 Bridge Street, Vail, Colorado. a) New License Craig Arseneau, Chris Chantler, Kathleen Ferry, Shareholder President, 33 1/3% Shareholder Vice - President, 33 1/3% Shareholder Vice - President and Treasurer, 33 1/3% Applicant submitted a petition containing 120 signatures in support of the license. The licensed area includes a portion of the outside patio area. Applicant stated that outside area would not be used until a lease could be obtained from an adjacent property owner for the remainder of the patio space. Applicant will submit a request to modify the licensed premise at that time. APPROVED, 4 -0 b) Manager Registration Kathleen Ferry, Registered Manager APPROVED, 4 -0 4. PUBLIC HEARING - Consideration of the Authority of a new issue of a Beer and Wine license with extended hours for Pizza & Pa -ne Company, d /b /a Gambetta's Pizza Pane, at the location of 12 S. Frontage Road, Vail, Colorado. a) New License David Gambetta, President, 100% Stockholder Alexis Gambetta, Treasurer Rick Travers, attorney for applicant was present and explained the license was allowed to expire because Mr. Gambetta had recently been hospitalized due to serious health problems. Mr. Travers requested the Authority reimburse Mr. Gambetta for the new license fees due to extenuating circumstances. Authority members supported the request, upon review and approval of the Town Attorney. Consideration of the Authority of recent renewals: Colorado Ski Service, Inc., d /b /a Vistabahn Ski Rentals; PHM Partners, Inc., d /b /a Evergreen Lodge Cafe; Tejas Hospitality, d /b /a L'Ostello Italian Bistro; KB Ranch, Inc., d /b /a KB Ranch Company; Bridge Street Restaurant Association, Ltd., d /b /a Vendetta's; Seven Eleven Store No. 20738; Safeway Store No. 631; H & W Food Company, d /b /a Chills East Vail Bistro; and MVP, Inc., d /b /a Alpenrose Restaurant. APPROVED, 4 -0 pending receipt of current leases from: • Vistabahn Ski Rentals • L'Ostello Italian Bistro • Vendetta's Any other matters the Authority wishes to discuss. The Authority reviewed a police report and citation charging a minor of possession of liquor by an underage person at the Sundance on 12- 17-94. Because the license holder was not served a citation, Authority members found there was not sufficient enough evidence to hold a suspension /revocation hearing. The Authority was also informed of a recent request for a Temporary Permit, pending a 100% transfer of the license held by Siamese Orchid. APPROVED, 4 -0. �! Next scheduled meeting February 8, 1995. Manor Vail is the official race headquarters and hotel. Applicant is holding a party in a tent in the Manor Vail Lodge parking lot for VIP, Sponsors - I understand it is by invitation only. On Friday, Feb. 10. All documents are in order and the file is complete. The applicant requested and was granted a temporary permit to do business on December 8, 1994 which expires April 7, 1995. Background investigation on Chuck reveals nothing that would be detrimental in granting said license. CBI and FBI reports are still pending. Jeff Mills has been named registered manager and has disclosed a DWI conviction in February of 1990, as well as a Misdemeanor conviction of Possession of Marijuana in November of 1993.
