regard thereto. Applicant: Sonnenalp Properties, Inc., represented by

BACKGROUND RATIONALE: Please see the memorandum prepared by
the Community Development Department staff datea March 4, 1997, to
the Vail Town Council and the memorandum dated February 24, 1997, to
the Planning and Environmental Commission. On February 24, 1997, the
Planning and Enviranmental Commission recommended a conditional
approval (6-0-1) of the applicant's request for the establishment of
Special Development District No. 35, Austria Haus, located ai`.~42 East
, Meadow Drive/on a part of Tract C, Block 5-D, Vail Village 1 st Filing.
