tax status: Non-Profit Does the Event benefit a charity? No Tax Payer ID# -84-0799125 Event Description: The Skating Club of Vail produces a professional holiday show with a very limited
budget. A holiday tradition, The skating club of Vail Holiday Ice Show showcases the talents of the club members as well as area children enrolled in the Vail Recreation Districts Learn
to Skate program held at Dobson Ice Arena. Over 70 area children were featured in last years event. The Skating Club of Vail members perform solo routines and large group productions.
The Learn to Skate numbers bring tears to parents and grandparents eyes. Visitors to Vail during the Holidays make the Holiday Ice Show an annual event for their families. Event Location:
Dobson Ice Arena No portion of the event will take place outside of the Town of Vail. Will additional in-kind services be required from the Town of Vail? Yes The Town of Vail gives The
Skating Club of Vail 4 days of arena rental/usage. The club must pay the hard costs of operating the rink. This event has existed for the past 13 years.
People: 70 Participants 25 Volunteers 8 Staff Members Spectators: 350 or more each night Local 50% In state (non-local) 10% Out of State 40% Since 1996 this event has consistently provided
inexpensive family entertainment for both the visitors and the community during the holiday season. It helps the Town of Vail to create a fun family environment. The show ends at approximately
8:00 so the attendees still have time to eat or shop. The return on investment the Town of Vail can expect is a wonderful community gathering and a very professional and entertaining
show. Vail had visiting guests last year that saw the skaters on the town bus, they said that The Holiday Ice show is an Annual event for their families. Budget: Attached We will use
the funds to subsidize costs. Ice costs will total over $13,000.00. We need to keep registration prices down so kids can be in the show. We want to make it affordable for all to join.
Should the CSE decide not to support this event, will it still occur? Due to the current economic times we are continually reviewing all our options. We are asking for 25% of our total
event budget. $12,000.00 in Sponsorships is reflected in the events budget. 75% of the total event budget is what we expect the event itself to generate. We would intend to host the
event yearly. In 2011 we would hope to ask for 20% of our total event budget. Everything depends on the economy. I would like to say we could support it ourselves as we have in the past
13 years.
