Taste of Vail turned 20 years old this year, a milestone for any festival.

Top of Vail Mountain
Scenic Eagle's Nest atop Vail Mountain, at 10,350 feet above sea level, was the venue for a small army of Vail's restaurants to serve up gourmet picnic fare. Held in a hand built snow
arena, attendees indulged in a marvelous selection of fine wines, Belgian beer and fabulous food from Vail’s leading restaurants.

2010 Media Coverage for the Taste of Vail
The public relations effort in 2010, focused on driving media in Denver and the Front Range to build audience for the 20th anniversary celebration, In addition, there was a huge push
to drive local and Vail Valley media relationships and some showcase national placements. 62,007,577 media impressions were garnered for the event during the 2010 public relations campaign.
The successful outcome of the 2010 PR strategy included national media coverage, highlighted by mentions in Boston Herald, Dallas Morning News, Atlanta Journal Constitution and Ranch
& Coast Magazine, important markets for driving affluent visitors to Vail and its signature culinary event, Taste of Vail. Multiple placements in Front Range publications 5280 and Westworld,
and coverage in Colorado Home & Lifestyles, Denver Life, Mountain Living and Colorado Expressions.
Media coverage also included high profile in-studio television appearances on KWGN and FOX31 morning shows, and multiple appearances on TV8 and Plum Television. Television stations included
event information on their web sites with links to the Taste of Vail site. The TV appearances ranged from pre-event interviews with Taste of Vail chefs and event interviews with Vail’s
top chefs, visiting chefs and other guest speakers.
Taste of Vail secured a radio partnership with ALICE 105.9 Radio, the #1 afternoon drive-time station in the Front Range which resulted in 55 commercials in early April and 68 online
streaming spots.
This year, Taste of Vail also focused on developing a larger social media presence with regular postings on our Facebook and Twitter pages to promote the 20th anniversary celebration
and specific sponsor events.
