(Please note: The total number of visitors who cam e to Vail and at some point interacted with or attended VRM events/activities once in Vail was a m uch larger number. This data is an estimation based on confidential numbers from a valid sample o f participating restaurants and hotels.) Celebrity chefs - preliminary research from I Opene rs. I Openers has contacted agents and culinary event e xperts - basic findings: 1) A-list celebrityy chefs fees range from $25,000 - $100,000 per appearance. 2) All luxury expenses must be paid for by the hos t event or town, including first class air, transportation, lodging, dining, activities, etc. 3) Personal relationships may reduce fees, but thi s is generally not the case with A-list celebrity chefs. 4) Scheduling and contract for A-list chefs must h appen far in advance of the event. I’m reviewing overall event attendance for the TOV’s community meeting on the 13 th and am wondering if you have a full event attendan ce estimate for Vail Restaurant Month? The only figure I attendance number I can find in the report is the 8000 attendees at the Harvest to Table Farm ers’ Market. If you can come up with an estimate for the total event, I ’d be grateful!
