100 World and North American Premieres. The Festival has
attracted over 1500 filmmakers, including many Academy-Award
winning directors and producers.
The Vail Film Festival would like to expand beyond the signature
weekend and offer independent film screenings during the winter
months leading up to the film festival.

Event Details:
- Screening of a Short Film followed by the screening of an
independent feature film.
- Intro and Question and Answer session with the attending
filmmakers.
-Reception with attendees and attending filmmakers following the
screening.
Target Market:
-Vail Valley locals
- Front range residents
The Vail Film Festival will utilize existing media partnerships to
promote the Screening Series in the Vail Valley and beyond,
including the Denver and Boulder markets.
2012 Winter Screening
Details
The Vail Film Festival has showcased the directorial debuts of Luke
Wilson, David Duchovny, Tiffani Thiessen, Amy Redford and many
more. Festival screenings have included: RED DOG, starring Josh
Lucas (Red Dog won the 2011 VFF Audience Award and is the
highest grossing film ever in Australia), FORGETTING SARAH
MARSHALL, starring Kristen Bell, Jason Segel, Paul Rudd and Mila
Kunis; KNOCKED UP, starring Katherine Heigl, Seth Rogen and
directed by Judd Apatow; THE WENDELL BAKER STORY,
starring Luke Wilson, Owen Wilson, Eva Mendes and Will Ferrell,
SNOW CAKE,starring Sigourney Weaver and Alan Rickman, THE
HOUSE OF D, starring Robin Williams and David Duchovny, THE
OH IN OHIO starring Paul Rudd, Parker Posey, Danny DeVito,
Heather Graham, and many more.
The Winter Screenings will showcase the best in independent film,
including both Short Film and Feature length screenings.
