CSE Board,
The Taste of Vail Board and I would like to clarify any further questions that you
may have after our presentation on Wednesday.
The Taste of Vail is asking for your support to enable us to further enhance Vail’s
premier spring event. The Taste of Vail is evolving, and we are enthusiastic about the
innovative plans for 2012. Our vision involves promoting by refining the TOV brand
with its core value proposition and better leverage with social media channels. We are
moving to an ever broadening demographic, with an enhanced Après Ski Lamb Cook
Off. The synergy of the thousands of people in the Town of Vail during the Lamb Cook
Off is all encompassing. With the projected enhancements of aligning with our sponsors
for even more events, we anticipate an increase in participation. The Taste of Vail will
become an event that always has its core festival and our objective is to keep the Vail
Lifestyle going throughout the entire year.
The events that follow not only showcase the beauty of our area, but the aura of
elegance that Vail is famous for.
The $50,000 will provide the ability to increase the size of the event. The
expenses we will incur are 40 tents for lamb, equipment costs and the marketing and pr
costs related to making this a success. The larger attendance will increase revenue. This
means an increase in sales tax and heads in beds for the town by an anticipated 20%.
Thank you for taking the time for us and we look forward to an amazing Taste of
Vail 2012.
