Teams from around Colorado travel to Vail for a weekend of competition, camaraderie and fun. Teams each play three qualifying games, with the possibility to move onto Championships rounds. Age groups from U11-U15 compete in both girls and boys divisions. • Event Location(s): o Within the town of Vail, games take place at Ford Park, Vail Athletic, and Vail Mountain School (VMS). In past years, we have also had games at Donovan Park (the field is too small, so we can’t use it anymore). o Additional games take place at Freedom Park, Battle Mountain High School, Singletree, Eagle-Vail and Nottingham Park. • NO additional in-kind services are required from the TOV. • We are entering our 13th year of the Vail Valley Cup. • People: o 1700 (200 of whom are locals) athletes plus their families o 75 professional referees and their families (some of whom were from Las Vegas and California) o 95% in-state, 4% local, 1% out-of-state o 4000-5000 spectators o 150-200 volunteers o 5 staff o Jessica Stevens, Vail Valley Partnership Sales Manager “housing bureau” • The Vail Valley Cup typically brings in 1000 room nights in Eagle County o $100,000 in revenue o Vail lodging breakdown unavailable by October 17th deadline. o Vail Valley Partnership will provide a Vail specific heads in beds statistic for the 2011 Vail Valley Cup, which will be available in November 2011.
