Great progress in 2012
• Website updated
• Full page ads have run in Ebony and Jet magazine – Save the date ad/ 10 million readers
New Improvements
• Collaborating with Ski.com
• Top priority: Securing title sponsor/securing previous sponsors
• Collaborating with Vail Film Festival
• Speaking with Vail Recreation District on ways to engage our guests while on‐site
• Looking to expand the experience for gospel music (brunch) on Sunday
• Pursuing headliner of mass appeal in 2012
Potential Dates:
• Primary – August 17‐19, 2012
• Secondary – August 24‐26, 2012
Target List of Sponsors:
• McDonald’s (verbal commitment)
• Allstate
• Verizon (verbal commitment)
Marketing/Brand Tie‐in’s:
• Social Media campaign to begin Feb. 14th
• Tickets on Sale Feb. 14th
• Will push fitness/adventure elements of Vail for 2012 (golf/biking, etc.)
• Will promote www.vail.com on VSMF website
• Designing contests/trip giveaway incentives
• Small launch events in Denver and Boulder
• Plans to advertise locally in Vail and Colorado Public Radio’s new station, Fresh Air

Hotel Developments:
• Promoting vailonsale.com
• Will also collaborate with ski.com
• Still looking for mid‐tier level hotel partner/ may need to change date to secure Marriott
Questions:
• Is there a Solaris ice rink date available for a free concert on the Thursday before the Soul Fest?
• How does the bike race affect the weekend of August 24‐26th? We may need to move the date
for mid‐tier hotel partner.
• Are there vendors you recommend for banner design?
• Will there be any new flight routes during the summer?
