Short Description of The Event:
The GoPro Mountain Games are the country's largest celebration of adventure sports, art and
music and they return to Vail, June 6 - 9, 2013.
Professional and amateur athletes from around the world converge upon the mountains and
rivers of Vail to compete in nine sports and 25 disciplines for more than $100,000 in prize money.
2013 News & Updates:
- GoPro replaces Teva as title sponsor of Summer Mountain Games.
- More focus on video and social media outreach
- Expanded national TV platform to reach an estimated 181M additional US households
(381M TTL potential households).
- Three unique one hour broadcasts on NBC Sports, including PRIMETIME for the first
episode (6/23 4pm est; 7/2 5pm est; 7/9 5pm est)
- Additional airings on Universal Sports (3x minimum)
- Additional airings on Outside Television (Multiple airings)
- GoPro Mountain Games to host the World Championships of Slackline
- GoPro Mountain Games to host IFSC Bouldering World Cup, only bouldering WC in United
