Inclusion of Vail “Like Nothing on Earth!” logo on all promotional materials. Event Strengths & Weaknesses: Exceeded expectations: 615 total teams. 11% growth over 2012. Event has been growing at a steady percentage for the last 13 years. There are certain intrinsic details to infra-structure that need more attention: i.e. more paid personnel to perform specific functions required on a consistent basis. Looking to create yet another AVP All-Stars Event for next year. Attendance numbers: 615 teams (1,230 participants with families and entourages – upwards of 3,000 people attending, directly related to the Event.) Approximately, 90% of participants are returning competitors. Demographic profile: Majority of participants, et al, come from the Rocky Mountain Region: i.e. the Front Range of Colorado with others from surrounding States. Majority of participants range in two distinct age groups: Juniors (aged 12-18 -- approximately 20% of participants) Adults (aged 25-40 -- approximately 60% of participants) Family (junior players playing with their fathers – approximately 20% of participants) Majority of participants and their families and entourages are middle-income to upper-middle income. Visitor intent to return: We do know that we have a tremendous rate of return participants over the years of the Tournament. Feel that providing yet another “Special Event” with like participants would gain more return from new spectators. Top line marketing efforts: Social Media National Magazine Ads YouTube postings Direct Mail Direct E-Mail Regional Radio Regional Newspaper Community Contribution(s): Many retail outlets, especially restaurants, contribute to this particular Event with gift certificates being given to “finishers” of said Tournament. Contributions by specific entities helped to produce the “Special Event”: notably; the Sonnenalp Resort & Spa and CME (Colorado Mountain Express). We feel that there was a tremendous sense of pride within the Community to be bringing in the caliber of participants at the “Special Event”. Sustainability Measures: Recycling done on both playing fields. Low impact noise. Low impact to playing fields: i.e. no major structures (bleachers, tents) erected. Low impact to traffic and traffic flow. 2013 EVENT PROFIT & LOSS STATEMENT INCOME: Sponsorships & Donations: Town of Vail: $25,600.00 Corporate Sponsors: 1,500.00 Team Registration Fees: 36,010.00 (Refund of Registration Fees/Duplicate Registration): <-100.00> Total Income: $63,010.00 Expenses: Administrative: Producer: $ 8,000.00 Assistant/Secretarial: 88.00 Cost of Sponsorship Sales: 1,700.00 (commissions) Office Expenses: (rent/utilities/phone/supplies/internet service, etc.): 5,190.80 Production Equipment Storage 870.00 Marketing/Promotions: Artwork: 1,245.00 Poster Production: 337.21 Direct Mail: 1,440.35 Radio: 500.00 Newspaper: 210.00 Web Site Maintenance: 285.00 Licenses/Fees: Event Insurance: 614.00 Town of Vail Permits: 225.00 Field(s) Rental: 3,550.00 Bank Fees: 234.12 Retail Sales Tax: 66.00 Production Expenses: Tourney Director: 3,019.00 Cost of Registration: 1,845.00 Production Crew: 5,650.00 Lodging (1 night additional for crew): 108.76 Capital Expenditures: 150.80 P.A.
